In a city the size of Cardiff, with a population of 750,000, as many as 6000 could have had meningitis. Additionally, every year there will be on average, another 108 cases of meningitis in Cardiff.
Most people survive meningitis but thousands are left with debilitating after effects including deafness, blindness, limb loss, learning difficulties, memory loss and behavioural problems.
The Meningitis Trust is here to help and support everyone struggling to cope with the after effects and impact of meningitis. Together with your help, we can always be here for them and provide support and awareness for everyone.
